We've got our youth and learn to hunt, hunts this weekend, and boy I can't wait to get into the woods and make a few gobblers scream. Then I have to wait until the 27th to get out again.

I can't get out with Harrison till the 30th, and I'm taking a father/daughter team out for the second day of NH's youth hunt on May 1st.
Hopefully, we can put some birds in the dirt...........

Very interesting, once these northern seasons open up hopefully we can put a couple heavy weights on the scales. Here in town at the registation station the average bird last year went just over 23 lbs.

Birds down here run in the 19 to 20 pound range.
