MO. hunt
« on: October 21, 2015, 04:54:36 PM »
Went to MO. over the weekend to do a little fall public land hunt. Went in to one of my hot spots but couldn't get set up where I wanted. The woods are really dry this fall. So I set up till noon and listened to fly down and then just watched time pass. I repositioned for the afternoon in a spot full of sign and cranked up the calls. At 4:00 I had a hen with her brood come in aggressive to the calling and decoy. When the rest of the flock showed up I waited until two heads lined up and filled both tags with one shot. My buddy did the same thing some years back and I enjoyed my hunt and  the memories of our past hunts together. God speed Rich
