As a call maker, I understand the cost factor in making calls from materials that are costly in themselves. I contacted an acrylic dealer about purchasing some blanks for pots, he sell thousands of blanks for duck calls and pen blanks, so he has materials but....he says that in order to sell pot call blank size materials it would be necessary for him to buy enough material in one order that would be approximately 4' X 8' X 1" at nearly 2,000 to 2,500 dollars each with a minimum of three sheet orders. Yep, folks it is true, sad but true, when you have to deal with material handlers you are at their mercy, I have a couple blanks that I am currently working on in multi-colored layers, and will be turning out a couple pots, but they are expensive as compared to a pot made from a piece of wood....that is just the way the ball bounces.......
