All around striker

What is everyone's thoughts on a good all around wood choice for a slate over aluminum, glass, and aluminum pots?  I have one of each type pot and looking for a good striker pairing. Thanks!

I use snakewood  most of the time. After that it's tulipwood.

If I HAD to pick just one... Tulipwood. Seems to be able to play on everything across the board - including the slate. Diamondwood is a close second. Haven't had the privilege to run a snakewood or black locust (yet), but they both get lots of love too.

I use a Lyman snakewood. It works great on all surfaces. Have one of his dymondwood as a second.

I find myself using a purpleheart more and more. Also I like a maccasar strikers as well. For some reason to my ear , my snake wood strikers don't sound as good.

Purpleheart is my favorite for versatility. I don't run any metal surfaced pots though.

My Lonnie Sneed Purpleheart seems to run on all my pot surfaces (green glass, glass, slate & titanium) nicely!
