I put a speed bead ff3 on my 870 express with the stock 26" barrel. with no spacer, I cannot get the red dot high enough to match my bead sight. This is with the elevation turret maxed out to its hightest point. with the 1/8" spacer, I still cannot get it high enough to match my bead. the only way I got the red dot slightly above the bead was with both spacers installed and the elevation turret maxed out. and this is just slightly above my stock bead. I go to shoot the gun and it shoots high of course, at 30 yards its was about a foot high. what do I need to do. will having shorter barrel with the original bead closer to me , give me more elevation adjustment. as of right now, I had to take off the ff3 to use my this final weekend of the season. I have a new thumbhole stock on order ,so I will be taking it off again. I forgot to mention the wedge screw. I adjusted the screw out and it gave me the elevation I needed to sight the gun in, but without the wedge screw touching the stock It threw the sight off with each shot. I called burris and they told me that the wedge screw had to be touching the stock in order to absorb the recoil. so if the wedge screw has to be touching the stock then what is the point in making it adjustable
