Absolutely my favorite slate call!

Good choices so far and I'd like to add Clint Corder, SS Calls and Tim Oldham Jr.  Another callmaker, who no longer makes calls, that made a killer slate is Ralph Chandler.

Hard to imagine a slate call being much better than one of these three Daybreak slate/glass. Left to right:

Canary wood, Radical Bubinga, Pistachio

I use my own in either a cedar or chestnut pots. Gary makes a great pot also, his pistachio and nara wood calls sound fantastic.

Gary does make a fine pot caller. That striker with the canarywood caller looks to be Lilac

I have a Lonzo zebrawood I compare everything to and I just got a cedar Halloran that I like I have a blackstone walnut and a platz maple on order wonder if one is gonna hang with the Lonzo I run it with a rosewood or persimmions striker
