Hear a lot of praise on here about how well diamondwood strikers perform on most pot call surfaces.Dont have one yet.Can somebody recommend a good one to get?

Russell Beard makes a good one.
The laminate strikers from Woodhaven are very good but expensive (about $30 now). Sometimes you can find a good deal on a used one.

Lyman, Torman, or Fowler. Won't go wrong with any of these.

dad's strikers and woodhaven strikers are both basicly the same as the original "pete" peters strikers....and woodhaven being the fabricators of the striker before they became a well known call company.....both are essentially the same...you can take a dial caliper to the original "pete" striker....and compare....
