Just picked up a super nova for the upcoming spring season. Looking to put a sight on it.  Not sure which route I wanna go . Red dot, fiber optic sights or what.  What do you guys recommend.  Don't want to break the bank.

I would also need to order a rail to mount it

Are this truglo red dots any good ?

I have a vortex strike fire red dot laying around.  Not sure if it would be ok for turkey. If not I'll look into another one.

I have this layin around  http://www.midwayusa.com/product/158884/vortex-strikefire-red-dot-sight-30mm-tube-1x-4-moa-red-dot-with-extra-high-weaver-style-ring-and-2x-magnifier-matte

Red dots are sweet on a turkey rig. I've used the ff3 and now have the Bushnell TRS-25. I highly recommend both. Bushnell is about half the cost if that's a concern. FF3 has lifetime warranty

I have a tru glo on my super nova similar to the one you linked. Mine is a triton gobble stopper. I like it alot! I was worried about it because it is a cheaper scope but the guy at the gun shop said he hasn't heard a complaint yet. I did break the mounting screw, my fault, and called tru glo. No questions asked they sent me two new sets of screws free of charge. They have very good customer service. So if you want something cheaper I highly recommend it. One last thing, if you go with the tru glo, be careful not to overtighten when you're mounting to your rail, the screws will break.

I went to the pain of trying to find a weaver base to fit my Supernova too.  You need a Weaver 93a.  One problem though, the screws are too short.  You need m4-.7 x 8mm screws.  The rail fits perfect without having to cut it down.
Good luck!

I went thru the same thing but I ended up with the 423m and cut it off. the problem I had with it was way to much eye relief and only 2 positions I could mount my red dot. Either in the front or back. The front wasn't an option and the back, after cutting it off was to short. So I ordered a blank picatinny rail from amazon for about $10. I cut it longer and filed the bottom of the rail on the back so it would sit above the groove on the receiver and drilled my holes to match the holes in the weaver. Now I  can mount the red dot anywhere on the rail and I'm very pleased with it.
