I bought this as a backup choke, but I can't find much feedback on the combo on here. Has anyone had any experience with this choke and hevi 7s Longbeards or mag blends

Gobble!

Clark may chime in he's a SSX fanboy. They seem to do well with the HeviShot shells.

The SSX and Benelli shotguns seem to be made for each other. I've shot that choke through mine for many years now and they pattern exceptionally well with the Hevi-13 shells, both #6 and #7 shot. I've shot them recently with the WLB shells with #6 shot and had excellent patterns as well. While the SSX does well with the MBs, I much prefer the standard loads.

Thanks,
Clark

I have a SBE II and the SSX choke and the #6 HS did extremely well. the magblends not so much. LB #5 did pretty good, about 160 in the 10inch circle. I have a Rob Roberts also it shoots a little better with all 3 of them. all shells were 3.5 inch shells. the Magblends shoot really good out of the Rob Roberts though. If you are going try the SSX do your self a favor and start with HS #6. worked in my gun.

I wouldnt risk shooting that choke in a $1300 gun. Scroll down and look at that ssx that came out of that vinci. Not trying to bash anybody because i do like a lot of truglos products. It just that i have seen too many accounts on here about these choke tubes failing.IMO, they are just too good to be true. I mean a choke thats so cheap and works so well. On the other hand theres tons of people who havent had a problem with those chokes. And i have seen more problems with there benelli chokes than others but i have seen the others fail as well. I for one would be willing to pay more $ for their chokes if they were made here in the U.S..I really think truglo needs to look into this issue and do something about it. If it were me id sell that choke and get a sumtoy, carlsons, trulock, or pure gold.

As has been said, great choke, great gun and just seem to be made for each other.

I've been shooting that combination for about 15 years, in both competition and hunting.

Thanks,
Clark

So Clark, with all do respect, why are there so many problems with this choke? Im not trying to bash here but it seems to be a comon occurance of the ssx swelling in benellis. Great gun, yes.Great choke, I dont think so...

I can't speak for the sbe2, but I have a benelli m1 and with the ssx and hevi 3" 7 I can put over 300 in a 10 at 40. I posted pics a couple years bsck. I would not hesitate to shoot a ssx out of my sbe2. However, my m1 shoots so well I don't need to.

The ssx allowed me to hit 200 in my 20ga with federal 7's
