My burris fastfire III just came in. Definitely seems nice so far. I'll sight it in this weekend. Definitely getting more excited the closer we get to May 1st!!!

Congrats, I think optics will be needed for me next year.  I just put adjustable truglo open sights on last fall, and I noticed a problem with them at the range this year. The front bead is getting fuzzy, I don't know what's wrong with the truglo LOL.  Most every rifle and even several of handguns have scopes, so I guess I never noticed my vision being a issue with open sights. 

Two things that I have to get over(in my mind)with optics for spring turkey, is the fear of batteries going bad, and rain drops on the glass.

The cool thing for my setup is the saddle mount im using. I know some people don't like saddle mounts but the one thing I like is that should my Fastfire fail, there is a space you can see that goes through the mount so you can still see the front bead and use that if necessary.
