Another camo dipping question

I'm wanting to send a gun off to be dipped.
I have scoured most dippers web-sites, but see very little on the way the gun is prepped for dipping.
I know that Camo Solutions blast the metal down to bare steel, then primes the steel before dipping.
What other companies do this, or do most dippers just "scuff" the existing finish then re-apply new film ?

Camo Solutions is about $20-25 higher than most but seem worth it, if indeed they are the only ones to do this extensive prep....what say ye' ??

I'd recommend that you check with Rob Roberts @ Rob Roberts Gunworks. Rob is an honest man and all of the camo work I've seen of his is first rate.

I'm sure that many folks here have had guns dipped and can also give you excellent recommendations.

There seem to be lots of places to get that kind of work done.

Try color &camo just had my stuff dipped its bad to the bone for sure. Had it dipped in new MOBU bad stuff there.

Pretty sure a good practice is blasting down to bare metal.  A base coat is then applied and the color of that is dependent on what the camo company dictates it should be if there is no leeway.   Any good one should also put a clear coat protectant over it.

I too use color and camo and am impressed.
