Remington rust problem ?

I had one that did it too, and it made we wish that I had bought the Beretta that I was considering. 

I fought it for a while.  Auto Trans Fluid or synthetic motor oil in heavy weight around 20W50 might help.  Eventually, I did a nice spray paint job on it.

I've got the same thing going on with a .308 SPS TACT rifle I paid good money for, back during deer season.

the finish on Remington guns suck big time,the matte finish on the shotguns will rust before your very eyes
