I have a silver eagle  sportster se semi auto it takes the bennelli mobile chokes ....I ordered a strut stopper extreme tg155x which is for a bennelli mobile and it does not fit ? Is this common to get one that won't fit what it says it will?

It happens.  Could be choke tolerance, could be gun tolerance.  I had to have Stewart at Indian creek shave one down to fit one of my 835's.

Now that is different than what I had, mine would not slide in to the threads.  Assuming that you have other chokes that still work fine in the gun then it has to be a faulty tube.
