Who has shot this combination and with what choke???  What kind of 40 yard 10" pattern did you get??  Thanks. :OGturkeyhead:

I have not shot any longbeards yet. My SX3 gets 250 plus hits with a Kicks GT .675 and 3" MagBlends. There is a thread on here about SX3 and longbeards.

And that was with the 3" Mag Blends if I remember correctly.  Have you patterned the 3.5" Mag Blends in the SX3??

cahaba

No I only shoot 3" shells due to recoil and a bad neck. With the soft shooting SX3 my neck thanks me for it. I figured with 250 hits that would be more than enough.

I went with a Sumtoy choke and #5 LongBeards. Way less than optimum conditions put 165 in 10'' @ 40. Once deep cleaned, sighted, and clear/warmer day I am sure 180-200 will be reachable.

SKFOOTER, I shot the 3 1/2" #4 & #6 today. I only had 1 of each and at a lasered 40 yds. I got 144 in the 10 with the 4's and 194  in the 10 with the 6's.
This is with a 28" barrel SX3 and it was around 70 degrees.

thanks good to know I've always avoided #4's because they were such a pain to get a good pattern from. I'm going to have to grab a box now :turkey2:
