My buddy bought some 3.5" long beard #6 and we hit the range to try it out.  He shot an 870 with 660 JH and I shot my 835/675 Sumtoy combo with 20" bbl.

First, I'm gonna say this stuff is bad.  Hevi can move over.

The 870/660 went 252/142 with a total shot count of 475
The 835/675 went 253/152 with a total shot count of 467

I have pics but not sure how to post them.  I sent them to Sumtoy, maybe he will post them up

What do the 142 and 152 numbers represent? Can't  figure out what these numbers mean.

I think I may be missing something. The larger numbers, 475 and 467 represent the total hits in a 20" circle?

Thanks,
Clark

Is this a 2 ounce load of 6 shot lead?  222 per ounce right? Or?
Thats 100+ percent in a 20" circle, wow

Mike Honcho

Wow great numbers....I am heading to Bass Pro today to pick some up.

letsgohunting

How much harder will the longbeards kick in a 3 1/2 in 2 oz compared to hevi 3 in 2 oz in 12 ga

fountain2

the 142 and 152 are the 20" numbers and the 467 and 475 are total hits on paper andim guessing for that particular load as we shot very large paper.

WOW

396,405 in a 20" @ 40yds..that's bad medicine on ole' Tom.

I have a beretta/ xtrema/ hevi 13 choke that shoots 230's in a 10" with Hevi 13 6's and 330's in a 10" with Hevi 7's. Don't have the confidence in the new Hevi shells to buy more.. Gonna be interesting to see what it will do with these shells.

gonna be a lot of mad hunters when they pull the trigger at 20 and under and their bird is  :turkey2: because they missed!!!!

Tight patterning guns are not for everyone. Snatch the trigger and it's an easy miss. Sights, Red Dots, or scopes are a must with guns that shoot softball to volleyball size patterns inside 20yds.

They are bad stuff and hevi has a very serious competitor now..and its beating them 6 vs 6 I think.

Some very good patterns are being posted and I'm sure there are more to come.  Some 275+ and one near 300 posted on another forum already.
I didn't shoot these to get in any contest or to have any question me, we just wanted to see how they did.  Some are questioning me, I don't care.  I'm not even going to hunt with them so I sure don't have anything to hide about it.  Its just a thing...I have always wanted to find a good lead load.  Never have..and I've shot almost every competitive load out there.  None have been satisfactory to me until these.  I'm going to grab some if my own in Nashville and shoot more
