I had never seen that show until that episode came on - changed it immediately.  Can't imagine anything much more cruel that arrowing a turkey and then yanking it around in a rope for your enjoyment.

I hope that's how he goes out...takes an arrow to the guts and then gets drug around by a rope for a bit while a bunch of a-holes hoot and holler as he suffers.

Hunting with a bow is true skill it's just not for me. I have helped bow hunters in the past and will continue in my neck of the woods. But it still doesn't change my mind that it's a shotgun sport.

Hunters bashing hunters for there choice of hunting methods is a bad idea. I have recovered many birds that"hobbled off". Not all deer drop dead from arrow wound in sight. Still, hunters go out every fall to bowhunt deer without gulletines and bullheads. :TrainWreck1:
When I turkey hunt I use a DSD decoy

I have no problem with bow hunting.  I have a problem with some jackarse yanking a bird around on a rope for his enjoyment.

I do not watch many of the hunting shows but if Brackett did shoot a turkey with a bow fishing set up it wouldn't surprise me a bit.  I have seen one of his idiotic stunts in person to where he showed no respect for other humans safety when he was shooting some foam disc flying through the air INDOORS at the ATA show without a proper backstop that would stop arrows being shot from a compound.
The LaPorte trap company had their new machines in a try out area with low poundage recurves and flu flu arrows.  There was a curtain hanging behind the designated shooting area designed to stop arrows from these recurves NOT compounds.
I watched him shoot thru the curtain more than once with his compound and the arrows were sticking in the wall in the next part of the convention center overhead of people walking below.
The convention center security and ATA (Archery Trade Association) staff showed up and shut down the try out area because of one man's ignorance!
This was a few years back and I believe the show was in Indianapolis that year.

After reading some of the comments about bowhunting for turkey.  I will add that I have hunted them all over the US and Mexico with Archery equipment and with the broadheads on todays market you will see that they are very lethal.
I have a few videos on youtube where you can see some turkeys expire rather quickly.

This just sounds stupid. As soon as I heard this I immediately thought of the banter between two guys I work with. The one guy puts out corn for the birds on his property all through the season & the other guy jokes with him about why he don't just put a hook through the corn and attach a cable to a tree. Kinda the same concept as shooting them with an arrow and dragging them back. Turkey hunting with a bow is OK but that is taking it to far. I have and always will use a shotgun IMO.....
