Just a quick note. If you have a Dunham's near you, check out their Falcon Mountain snake boots. I bought a pair today for $90. They seem to made a lot like the Danners in leather and cordura with a good sole. They lace up, but have zipper up the side. I had some other boots that I wanted but I couldn't deal with the $150-$250 price tags at this time.
