THANKS FOR YOUR PRAYERS
October 19, 2013, 08:19:09 PM
We just got back in town from North Myrtle Beach and I'd like to thank everyone for their prayers and comments concerning the death of my father. A couple months ago my stepmother had called me and advised me that my Dad had been diagnosed with cancer and had 6 months to live. He had a cancerous tumor that was entwined around his main artery and was inoperable. They advised him that as it grew it would cut off his blood circulation and cause his death. So 6 weeks ago my Uncle Richard and I went down to visit with him for 5 days and then went back the following week for a 4 day visit. Shortly after we had visited him they had to start a morphine treatment to help ease his pain. Dad was not the same after we visited him and what turned out to be 6 months turned out to be only about 1 1/2 months. We went down to see him on October 14, 2013 and he was in real bad shape. He had been in a morphine coma for 3 days and had just woke up on the day that we arrived to visit him. He could hardly speak and couldn't get out of the bed. When he spoke you couldn't understand much of what he said but he did tell me that he loved me. The hospice nurse said that he wouldn't last through the week. He passed away on October 16, 2013.
I'd like to thank Ricky (VATURKEY) for putting up the early post.
Thanks again for all your prayers and please continue to pray for us.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. But I'm sure fond memories and the time spent with him will keep a smile on your face.

Brian.
Another angel was called home. His pain is gone and his suffering is over. Paradise is his!!
The day will come when you will be able to mention his name with smiles instead of tears. I will assure you of this. The memories will last forever..

I'm very sorry to hear of your loss. I can relate. I lost my father to a progressive disease a year and a half ago, so I feel your pain. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in this sad time.
