Used them back in the 80s deer hunting.Started hunting a new spot near a lot of marsh and we were paranoid about tracking in the marsh. Pretty neat hitting a deer and having them spool off the line. After a few years we found we really didn't need them, the spools were hard to find, and we gave up on them. I do know some guys who like them for turkeys.
