Our American society has had warped values for decades, pretty much since the 60's. That's the point in history that respect for authority, family, the military & law enforcement, and was the start of the "me" generation.
It has now escalated to the point that athletes, musicians and movie stars make tens of millions of dollars a year, dominate the news, yet you hear very little about the soldiers, cops & firefighters who put their lives on the line every day, for low pay, to keep America safe. Its a real shame.
