I always say that if its legal and ethical, and you want the bird, go ahead and shoot it!! I've had the opportunity to kill several bearded hens, but every time I've been in a place that didn't allow it. Congrats on your bird!!

Nice!  I too once shot a bearded hen awhile back when I used to hunt turkeys in the fall.  Too busy chasing bucks and ducks in the fall so I don't hunt turkey in the fall anymore.  Anyway, I too was hesitant, but decided to take her.  I figured it would be the only time I would do so.  Congrats.
