Why did you get a refund check if your cc company never paid them? Do NOT cash that check!

Been over a year ago...What I'm saying is that I don't recall if they charged my card or not...I don't see how they could use that check nefariously. I didn't include any account info. on the check and I have a password protection on the account...We'll see but if you have any info. that they could get into the account I'm all ears. Rather deal with it before hand than after...
