The best advice that I can give you to save money and maximize your patterns is to "deep clean" the bore of your Nova. It is chrome-lined, as you know and can appear to be clean when it's not. That cleaning process will take a few minutes, some effort on your part but very little cash outlay. You probably already have everything you need to do the task. If you're not familiar with the process, you can click on the allaboutshooting banner below, then go to the article "Cleaning a Shotgun Barrel" and see the guidelines. I recommend that you follow them exactly. It really helps more than you might imagine.

Thanks,
Clark

thanks!

You're welcome. I've been shooting a Nova since very shortly after they were introduced. They are very good guns and practically maintenance free with the chrome-lined barrel and weather resistant exterior. It's a very handy shotgun for just about any purpose and especially good in the turkey woods.

Thanks,
