Hey guys,
Was just going through my turkey stuff making sure everything was ready to go. Cleaned up my decoys after a wet season last year and got to wondering if you guys use decoys or not. I basically run decoys all the time. Most of my hunting property are large farms with large fields. Through trail and error I find early in the season the birds seem to  respond better with seeing a decoy out over not putting one out at all. If I hunt timber I often leave the decoys at home. As the season progress's the birds seem less interested through hunting pressure or whatever and I tend to do more running and gunning looking for that interested bird. What's your preference.

I load up for bear, leave it in the car! Two blinds, shotguns 12 and 20, my bow, 6 decoys,(2 hens looking, 1 bobble head looking, 1 bobble hen feeding, 1 jake, 1 strut.) I made a rack for them in the back of the suv, boy do i get some looks from non hunters while at a red light! I will make my mind up what to bring out when i leave the car, usaully the wrong choice.

Hunt all heavy timber.....don't use decoys.

The first day for me...after that first day,i hate them.dekes are a pain to pack if you walk to far.

I don't generally use them.  I have a buddy coming in this year to do some filming.  I may put some out then to give the birds a reason to dance in camera view.  I often carry an inflatable during the season but can't ever recall actually using it.

I sold the last of my decoys last spring.  For my style of hunting I am moving too much and will spook birds putting them out.  My success with them is less than 25%.
