Browning Gold 3.5 NWTF Edition, 24" b.....  Would you guys guess a .670 constriction would be about right for shooting Winchester HV 3.5" 2oz 5s and the Double XX 2 1/4oz 5s???   I am really wanting to shoot 5s, so my question is, is .670 about right for the 5s or do you think i Need to shoot something closer to .665???

670 works great for over bored guns. I know the xx 3.5-2.25-#6's perform well. Unless my mind is slipping, I think Browning gold is back bored. Been a while since I have worked with one.

For 5s that is a good start. I have also seen the the .675 throw good # 5 lead shot patterns in the inv+ barrels.

I shoot a 26" Inv + gun with a .643 SSX choke.  The Winchester 3", 1 7/8 oz (grey box) 5 lead loads shoot very very well with this combo in my gun.  Good luck!

I think you meant .675?

Great catch there. I'll modify post.

3" 870 Shell Shucker

Indian Creek .665 has been awesome in my INV+ BPS, with all 3" shells, including #5 Lead.

With 3.5" shells and more payload, perhaps .670 is a good place to start?
