Wow, what a great day yesterday!! We went to a new parcel of property to get it planted with the green fields. Had to take my daughter Faith early to school, go get the truck and lowboy which I previously loaded with the tractor, spreader, seed, and a four wheeler with spreader for clover. Then drive 50 plus miles to the land, and plant, plant, plant!!

We finished up in the dark, having to run the headlights to see for the last green field!!  Upon getting everything loaded back up on the lowboy, I started back to the farm 50 miles away and.............

no dash lights or parking lights on the truck or trailer.

Aughhhh!! I had already put in new trailer lights, parking lights on the truck, and reworked all the dash lights earlier, as I just acquired the truck. Everything had been working perfectly!!! There was no way I could go into the darkness safely, and drive in it. After about 15 minutes of checking wiring, and fuses, with only the light of the cellphone, I decided to get some help of a local friend. Finally with some illumination of a flashlight, the persistence of wanting to go home, and removing/taking out all the fuses, we found the problem to be a fuse.

Just like last night, every day we face spiritual darkness and the choices to walk in it. There is darkness all around us, and even when we feel we are strong enough to handle it by ourselves, we quickly find out our fuses cannot handle the load. If we attempt to keep driving on, without calling out for help, we set ourselves up for failure.

Jesus, the living light of the world is available to all, to eliminate the darkness.

1 John 1:5 (NKJV)

5 This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.

John 8:12 (NKJV)

12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life."

Has your fuse gone out? Are you facing darkness? Are you ready to get home?  Jesus is available; all you need to do is call upon His name as your Savior.

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for being my Savior, and leading me out of darkness in my life. Thank You for the productive day yesterday, and providing the rain early this morning on the newly planted green fields. Thank You for the many blessings of my family, friends, church home, and home in eternity with You. May Your will be done in our lives, and may Your Holy Spirit lead, guide, and direct our steps for Your Glory, and Your glory alone.

For it is in Jesus name we ask and claim these things, Amen!!!

God Bless,
David B.
