First hunt this year will be a 2 hour drive to hunt public land in Hawaii. Will be after them thursday afternoon. Can't wait. Other spots are from right out the door to an hour and half away, to multiple states away if you count driving after a hunt to the next state. God bless.

Back in 02 I drove 1925 miles from Pa to Tx for a no show hunt in a draw only WMU hunt. The wardens that did the no show drawing said I was nuts and were going to give me a hunt even if I did not draw. I killed my first Rio there, and on the was home stopped in Ks and killed 2 more, hopped on over to Mo and shot 2. Came home to Pa where I Killed one, along with Ny and Oh. total miles were just under 5k. And Diesel was under 2.00 a gal......

First trip will be over 16 hours down.  Then the rest of the season will be either 2.5 hours, 1.5 or 1 hour.

65 to 70 miles every day of our season, often times more if I hunt both tracts. I average around 6,500 miles each year turkey hunting and that's just at home here in Bama.

That's a lot of diesel fuel.

3.5 hours to my honey hole, 20 minutes to some poor public ground full of hunters and few turkeys

CASH

30 miles to the club.  45-50 for public land.
A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands, love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper; his hands remember the rifle.

3-45 min just depends on where I want to hunt that morning and how late the girlfriend keeps me up the night before.

Closest is about an hour which is all public land. Have private land 3 hours away that I hunt once or twice per season. Other than that, it depends on what other states I hunt as to how far I have to travel ;D
