The CA  season lasts about 5 weeks so taking that much time off is just not feasible for me and my family.

My work schedule is changing though to a four on four off rotation...that alone is going to bring me more days in the field next spring and I will probably throw in 3 or 4 days vacation as well.

Turkey hunt every day of the Bama season, I wish.

I always take Easter Sunday off.

I'm an account specialist, whatever that is :-\.  It's my understanding that part of my job is to entertain customers.  And some of my customers find my turkey hunting entertaining.  So with that logic, part of my job is to turkey hunt, and I don't want to get fired so I do my job to the best of my ability.  I even work weekends in the spring.   The only thing better than turkey hunting is getting paid to turkey hunt.
I admire your work ethic!

I'm not able to take the whole season off, but I sure would like to. However, I get off work a 4 pm every day and it only takes me 5 minutes to get home. Change into camo, grab the gun, walk across the street and I can set up and hunt till 7 pm. The only morning opportunities I have are Sat. and Sun. mornings, but we have 5 weekends in our season here in Ontario, so I get to wake up at o dark thirty enough. Our season starts next Wednesday[25th]. I can't wait!!

I am a teacher so my time during turkey season is limited. I do however try to take off the first couple days of season. After that I am mostly a weekend warrior. On average I only get out 6-8x. We are given 3 personal days each year to use so  usually take one during the rut (hunt Fri-Sun) and then the first two days of turkey season.

I don't get to hunt near as much as I would like to. This time of year is the busiest time in the line of work I'm in. We can't take any time off and we're having to work 7 days a week just to keep up. The only good thing is that I rotate shifts. I get to work evenings two weeks of the season. That gives me a few mornings in the woods. My wife just started her own business, so I have my kids some of those days. I won't complain though. I could be without my wonderful family and could be looking for a job.
