Maybe I was lucky, but I shot this load in the 1 7/8oz 4x6 back in the mid 90's from an 870 with two different barrels, a 21" and a 28". Surprisingly, both barrels threw good patterns at 40 yards with a Hastings .660 choke and I killed a few birds with that combo. I don't know if they've changed anything, but these were the old ones with the olive drab hull and black brass.
I've still got a newer box of them and have actually considered breaking that gun out again and trying to take a bird with it just for old time's sake.
