Mossberg 935

I'm new here, and new to turkey hunting. DOes anyone shoot a 935 and if so what choke/shell combo works well for you? Thanks.

If your gona shoot lead then get a Jelly head and run Win high velocity 2 oz #5's

I would shoot 3.5" Hevi Shot 2 1/4 oz of #6 shot through an Indian Creek .675.

Indian Creek or Jellyhead.  Lead 3 or (3 1/2 if you just like to know you've shot) 6 shot.  Hevi shot 3 or 3 1/2" #7, 6 or mag blend.  I only shoot 3" in mine.

I use a Rhino Choke with the 4x5x7 (item # H517T)Nitros.  I've also used the 2x5x7 Nitros.  Both have an unbelievable pattern! Good luck and happy hunting!

First of all, welcome to OG. This is a good place with lots of helpful folks.

I shoot a 935 as well as the 835 and the SSI-ONE, all with the same over bored .775 barrel. They all shoot great patterns with a variety of shotshells. My guns all seem to prefer the 3" Hevi-13 "Bronze" shell with 2 oz. of #6 shot.

The single thing that I've found to help with patterning with those guns, more than anything else is to "deep clean" the barrel. That will help more, even on a brand new gun, than anything else I've found. There are a variety of turkey chokes that work very well with the 935 and you've already had several suggestions. The one constant that seems to work is an exit diameter of .670, after that, it's largely a matter of brand preference and the amount of money you wish to spend on a turkey choke. The good news is that most work very well.

PG .670 would be my choice with the #7, with the larger #6 I think the .675 will give little better pattern.  I would try both and see.

At our booth at the NWTF Convention & Sport Show last weekend, the Pure Gold .670 turkey choke was also a very popular choice for shooters of the 935 & 835 Mossbergs. Most of those sales were referrals from friends or relatives who were shooting that choke through their guns.
It's an excellent choice.

I own a 835 and I utilized the information from this site to outfit my gun two years ago.  As Clark said, Deep Clean your Barrel and decide which Shell and Aftermarket Choke you would like to try.  You will get plenty of advice on those decisions here at OG.  What I settled on for my 835 was a Pure Gold .670 choke and I shoot the 3 1/2", 2 1/4 oz, #7 Hevi-13 shell.

I bought a 935 last year and Clark at allaboutshooting recommended a that he sells so I bought one from him. A also tested probably 10 other chokes and his was the best. I do believe it was a tru glow choke, maybe he will chime in here and let you know for sure. I was shooting hevi 3.5 inch 7`s and getting 275-290 pretty consistently.
