Winchester HV Wad?

Shooting today and noticed something strange.  I had some older win hv #6 2oz. 3 1/2 and some brand new same shell.  The old ones wad would go all the way to the target from 40yds.  The new ones would go maybe 15 yds.  How do you explain that one? wads looked the same pretty much color was a little lighter on the old ones.

How was the pattern ? and were you using the same choke?

I just traded for a 935 Mossberg and was playin around with it.  The numbers were ok with the factory choke 84 in 10" @ 40yds.  Not a bad pattern as far as even either.  I also shot a flight control federal #5 got 78 in 10" with it.  The flight control wad also hit the pattern board @ 40 yds.

I would have to say that the choke in the 935 was slowing the wad down a bit more.
