Traveling Call????

Some ideas....

1. We have a talented call maker on the team. Spin one up and send it out we all use it for the weekend sign it then ship it out to the next guy. With M,Yingling ending up with it last. He can then either add back to his collection or sell it to another team mate(s), but it's got to end up with a Spur Collector. IMHO if CJ Stahly ends up missing the season due to his service, I'd like to see him end up with it as a gift from the rest of us.

2. The first guy to put one on the ground sends out one from his stash to the next guy. With the calls owner getting it back once everybody had a go with it.

That's what I had in my head. I get the feeling that we have all good people on our team and that no one will "drop the ball".

I like idea 1.  I would be willing to mail M, Yingling a few bucks toward the call.  If he would come up with Spur Collector Call, I personally prefer slate, and then let us know how much it would cost him, we could all chip in on the cost of the call. With 12 of us, I would guess it would be no more than $5 a person.

I also like the idea of giving it to CJ if he has to sit the season out.

Sent Mike the pm about the call.

If Chris is unable to hunt because he is deployed then we will donate the call to him as a gesture from the team.  If he gets to hunt then I will look at the team roster as it is posted in the Team Registration thread, excluding myself for fairness, and use a random number generator to select which team mate gets the call at the end of the season.

Does that seem fair to all team members?

Well fellows, put your hands together for Mike once again.  He is donating the travel call that we were wanting to buy.  I tried getting him to let us buy it but he just wants to donate it.  I hope EVERYONE on the team will tell him thanks for the great gesture.  He already gave us all one call so I just hope everyone shows their appreciation for him doing this!  



Also want to say a big thanks to Cayonhunter for getting the ball rolling on this.  It is a great idea and without his suggestion we probably would not be doing it.
