Checked the cameras Sunday and only had 3 gobblers on one of them, but I still have hopes of better results in the future.  The birds are still there I'm just haven't gotten them to smile for the camera yet.

One property 130 acres being clear cut right now. That was my favorite by far and first opening day since 1990 I won't be there.

New 800 acres I picked up has a bunch of gobbler tracks all over it.

One small track all I have on camera is 13 Jake's.

270 acres have seen no turkey sign at all. Place is good late when neighbors get tired of baiting.

130 acres got.several gobblers with hens on the game camera.

190 acres few tracks nothing on game cameras.

600 acres full of birds. Chuffa fields look like hogs have been in them. 5 fields of chuffas.

Haven't been to place in GA. Or Barbour county.

Have not checked pasture I can hunt

Haven't been to any of the other properties I have permission to hunt yet.

Found one spot a gobblers been walking...gotta wait a couple of days past opener until I can check it out though.   Need to go check river levels so Turkeywhacker will get off my case for hog hunting too much.

Do you run dogs? If so what kind?  We went last weekend and only killed 1, which sucks when we normally kill 4-6 every weekend we go.

No dogs.  Never done that but would like to one day for the experience of it all.  I'm just slipping through the swamps.  Gunned down about 10 this season.

Went listening this morning and heard 4 in Arkansas.  To bad our season doesnt open for month and a half.

Saw 7 gobblers today.  Didn't hear a peep though.  (and didn't see any hogs, dangit)

18 days to go, and I'll be sitting against a tree in Carolina with my scattergun on my knee!!! Here's what's waiting for me!!

blackmagic - If you can make it to Alabama I'm sure I can get you ona hunt, but it would have to be after turkey season.

Now as for the scouting, we checked out my buddy's place and probably saw 20-30 different sets of gobbler tracks and had some great pics on the trail cameras.
