Its good and bad, certainly isnt going to help me thats stuggling and trying to get new customers and I post all the time, not just selling.Oh well.

I removed it, Im not going to start a conversation on this too. make a long story short, 25 posts is plenty, of course im not on the board.

50 post is a meager number and this was all OG's idea and I think it is a very good idea.

If someone wants to advertise to the entire membership of OG no matter of how many post they have there is a quick and easy solution to that.... Contact Annie about advertising space on the top and side of the main page.  But when Shannon provides "free" advertising to members and all he ask is for some simple guidelines to be followed.  I would think that for some people to complain about some of his simple rules designed to protect the members is not only petty but also very insulting toward Shannon himself who is giving people a place to advertise for "free".

I understand the need for minimum posts to sell stuff but shouldn't you be able to look and buy stuff without having the minimum number of posts? I frequent Snipershide a lot and they require 100 posts to sell something but you can still look and buy with less than 100 posts.

Think that might be a compromise?

Sorry , I wish there was ,but there is no way of adjusting the post count setting to allow low posters to buy but only high posters to sell ---50 is real low - This is a happy compromise so that the members get to sell and buy chokes and ammo to people you can trust and we don't have to be eating up the staffs personal time , ill point out that just yesterday we had 4 gun related adds with no picture , and you guessed it right the members who did it had less than 10 posts each-  I strongly suggest if you want to use that area you start posting

Some people may not be happy with it , but this is to protect the members , and there are thousands of very nice trusting folks here that will take your word for it, not realizing that there are some real crooks out there - you send them your money and they disappear     

One of the members mentioned another site that has the same issue , and that is almost all hunting or gun related sites have issues with people baiting for false transactions - some sites even post up long lists of contact information and emails of known scammers - It is real bad with these people -

The Turkey call classifieds has never had a issue , and that operates with no restrictions
