Not hearing anything but did see 3 big toms out behind work yesterday. Our company property includes about 50 acres of woods that is full of turkeys. I try to take a golf cart out there every day and check on them. They aren't gobbling yet or strutting but it won't be long.

Been seeing toms in the fields in several places but no gobbling yet.  Went scouting the other day. Looked like somebody went through the woods with a leaf blower.  Leaves turned up everywhere.   :icon_thumright:

I'll be listening next Saturday am - the 26th.  If the weather stays the way it has been, there's a very good chance I'll hear some gobbling.  Then I'll be going just about every weekend between now and our opener on Apr 9th.

I went out scouting on 2/5.  There was still snow on the ground.  I did not see any birds bird did see evidence of a strutter!  Saw wing tip drag marks on each side of the tracks!

We have had somewhat of a warm period the last couple of days. Been out looking but the birds seem to be still in their winter flocks. Not sure if the birds behave the same down south but most of our birds winter in large flocks. One of the farms I hunt generally winters up to about three hundred turkeys but as the days get warmer they spread out with generally about 20-30 birds remaining. It will be about the first of April before we see much action here.

I heard my snow plow move 9 inches of snow last night.   :TooFunny: :TooFunny: :TooFunny:  But seriously, I have taken some hikes and am seeing tracks in all the usual places.  They haven't gone anywhere.
