this morning.
My dad died at the VA hospital in Mpls.
He was in the Marine Corps during WWII and served in Guam.
He did not talk much about his service except to say that he was releived when the A Bomb was dropped on Japan, he was training to invade Japan and was pretty sure he would not have made it alive.
He was 87 and lived a good life, that last two years were not good.
He took me hunting for the first time when I was 4 against my mom objections.

He will be missed

CASH

A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands, love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper; his hands remember the rifle.

My sincere condolences to you and your family. The Lord called another angel home.. :cross2:
May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?

Sorry to hear of your loss.  I'm grateful for his service and that he made it back home to his family after his tour.  God bless you guys and may good memories outweigh the loss.
