For you folks starting to plan next spring's schedule, here are the states where you must put in for a lottery draw, and their respective application deadlines:
AZ (October 10), CO (February 10), DE (January 14), FL (Quota-November 30), IL (January 11), IA (January 24), MI (February 1), MN (January 14), NV (February 16), NJ (February 22), NM (limited areas-February 2), WI (December 10).
This is not a complete list of every state that has a draw for special areas, and some of these dates are wrong. If their regs aren't out yet, I used last year's data. Please add any other states that you know about, so folks can get a complete listing.
