TSS recommendations

I'm considering switching from Hevi-shot Magnum blend to TSS.  Conventional wisdom on the board seems to be 3 inch #9 shot works best.  When I check availability on line I see 3 inch TSS loads ranging from 1 3/4 oz (Federal Premium) to 2 3/8 oz (Winchester Long Beard).  Heavier loads are generally lower advertised velocity.  What is everyone's preference and rationale for your preferred TSS loads?

Thanks

My recommendation would be to stick with magblends if they work.
Currently TSS is $200plus a pound. Probably can find shells this year, but it could be tough going forward.

I'd be happy to continue using the mag blends, but I'm running low and I can't find them.  As near as I can tell they're out of stock everywhere and listed as currently unavailable on the Hevi shot web site. I submitted a question on the web site asking if they were still making them. I received a reply that they would get back to me, but I haven't heard from them yet.

My recommendation would be to try 1-2 different brands from your basspro or cabelas that are within your price range and once you find the one you like bulk up cause prices are only going to get higher. Some brands are already going for 100$ a box of five but there are still some like herters and federal you can give a try for cheaper. i myself am also getting into TSS and I just bought some herters Im going to test and if they work for my standards I am going to get a bunch of boxes that should last me a couple years so i dont have to buy more when the prices rise.

Much more than a 1 5/8th oz is just for show in my opinion!

Find a 1.5 to 1.75 oz load of 9s and buy as many as you can stomach!

Otherwise in 12ga Longbeard are plenty!
