A very Dear Friend of mine that passed away a couple of years ago.  Mac was a retired Marine with 20 plus years in the Marine Corps with 4 or 5 tours in Desert Storm and Afghanistan.  We deer and turkey hunted for many years and completed our Slams together, traveling to Florida, Kansas and South Dakota.  I would love to have one more hunt with him to say Semper Fi Marine and Thanks for the Memories!!!  By the way, Mac's son Nicholas and wife Alexis had their first child (Bennett) this morning, a boy, 8 lbs 1 oz, as a kicker to this post.

Past - None of my family turkey hunted so I would go with Neil Cost. I heard he was a character.

Present - any one of my kids

Future - any one of my grandkids to come (fingers crossed)

Looking through this thread it is obvious what is important to most of us. It's not social standing or status, it's the love of those close to us. I hope those seeking fame and recognition aren't too disappointed they didn't even make the list. OG is full of just plain good hearted people.

My Grandpa.  He passed away in 1982.  I was 5 y/o so I never got to hunt with him.  He never turkey hunted but he was a deer killer.

My Grandad got to eat the 1st turkey I ever killed on Easter Sunday 1992 a few weeks later he passed in his sleep. I wanted and have wished I could have called him up a Longbeard. So, if I could hunt with one person it would be my Grandpa.
