Have you considered the Retay Gamelander in .410? Looks a lot like the CVA, but the Gamelander has that deep bore drilled barrel and lengthened forcing cone and a pretty good trigger. That 22" barrel should pattern about 15% better than the two guns you are talking about all else being equal. Has an adjustable length of pull stock and a adjustable cheek piece as well. Just a lot to offer for the .410 hunter for what they cost. You can also get it with some mossy oak bottomland on it from the factory.
The web site says the gun weighs over six pounds, but a man I know who has one weighed his and it weighed 5.8 pounds, so it is a lighter gun than the CVA Scout. I'm just guessing that the heavier website offered weight is for the 20 gauge in the same model, but don't quote me on that.
