12GA Muzzle Loader Conversion Setup For Hunting

Hi All,

I have a 12 guage single shot and looking to get into muzzeloading for turkeys. I plan to buy a 209 Muzzle Loading Adapter (linked below) and have a few questions:

1) Is this the "best" route to go for muzzleloading assuming I don't want to buy a dedicated muzzleloading shotgun (out of the budget currently)?

2) Who/where would you recommend buying components from (TSS + black powder supplies)?

3) Advice on where to find good handloading recipes for this setup.

4) A good chronograph you'd recommend.

Track of the wolf or Dixie gun works both are a great place to buy components.

The muzzle loader forum is a great place to get information on loads. They have a smooth bore section that has a bunch of info.

I don't know anything about tss loads but if you spend some time testing you shouldn't have an issue working up a 30yd lead load for it.
