If you were in a rural/ag. Area, the turkeys there are constantly tearing up the manure piles.

If you cleaned it but missed taking out the crawl or punctuated the crawl or guts that might be where the smell came from.

Never had a bad one from there

Well, first of all, what is an « awful » smell for you?

Cause I always find that turkeys have a particular smell, but that's something I like from them. They smell like a critter that spends it's life outdoors, under the rain, in the mud, in the woods, and honestly, that's a smell I like. But first, that's mostly the exterior skin that smells that. Than, the interior also has it's smell but it's just normal gut smell of an animal you just got.
