Hey guys,

Planning to attend the show in Feb and it will be my first time. Haven't seen the schedule yet but wanted to see if anyone had any feedback on things I should be sure to do or check out based on your past experience, how much would time ideally would you allow etc?

Coming from Oregon so a bit of a trek and can't take too many days but right now plan would be to arrive mid day Friday, attend Friday afternoon/evening and most of Saturday, probably will stay through Sunday or Monday to check out more of Nashville.

Thanks!

Attend some calling contests.  Take a backpack for the day of the main floor/shopping.  Take water and a snack, food and drink lines can be kind of long.
Everything turkey is there to buy or see.  Lots of walking, crowds.  Good shoes are a must.
Park at the mall and walk in.  Parking at the hotel is $$$. Have a good time.

We go every year.  Absolutely agree with the backpack and good shoes. You can save money on parking by parking across the street and taking a shuttle or behind it at the mall and walk in.

Here are a few others I have picked up.  If you can get there on Thursday, the crowds are much smaller and tend to grow every day.  Register online in advance, makes getting your wristband and getting started much easier.  Look online at the list of vendors; it is a big show and if you aren't careful, you could miss someone you really want to see.  Make sure all the vendors and displays are in the main building.  Sometimes they overflow to an adjacent building.

It is a great time.

I've attended a few times. Always enjoyed it. Advice is spot on. You can go everyday and see new things. All Turkey hunters should go at least once. Love the custom call makers- could do without all the decoy exhibits but that's just me. Overall a positive experience.

I figured the custom callmakers were not going as much as they use to due to price

Thursday is by far the best overall day as the crowds are far smaller. Saturday can be an absolute zoo with wall to wall people.

It's still a very cool thing to experience.
