I did a little customization to my Warbird FF3 protector mount

I received my Warbird protector mount for my Burris FF3 a few weeks ago. I absolutely love the mount but I did not like how it covered the 4 posts that help secure the sight to the base. Basically the only thing holding the fastfire and protector to the base is 2 screws instead of 6 points of contact.

What I did was build up the 4 posts with JB Weld and filed them to fit the FF3. Those 4 posts are extremely strong and will add some extra insurance from getting bumped.

Also just got my trigger back from the gunsmith and it's a perfect 3.5 pounds! Making dedicated turkey guns is fun.

Here you go. It adds just the right amount of height to the comb for a good sight picture on a red dot.

Thanks Tom. How was your season? I got an opening day bird upstate NY and then struck out with the bow.
