Hey Guys - Pulled the trigger on a Benelli SBE3 20 gauge today, does anyone have recommendations on a choke?  I'll be running 7.5 x 9s or straight 9s for my load, debating between the IC .555 and .562 at the moment.  Thanks!

Big Jeremy

I always recommend William's chokes over any other. Sumtoy 562-5 would be my recommendation.

In most cases you will get better results with a 562 up to a 585 in the 20 ga, especially with that 7.5 blend. Don't discount a Trulock 575 or 585, they are great chokes.

.562 IC if you like a tight pattern and .570 IC if you want a hunting pattern

Some of those 20ga crio's can be picky others not so much. I would say no to the.555. Ic .570 or a Carlson xr .568 should work great with those 7.5x9's.

I would try your Factory Full and IMod first.

Rob Robert's raptor turkey choke has been really good out of my 20ga franchi. A lot more even pattern than a few of the others mentioned that I've tried.

.562 IC is the most consistent choke I have tried in Crio barrels.
It will most likely be tight.  I hunted a .562 Sumtoy this year in my M2 with 8.5x9's and it was tight also.

.562 Sumtoy 1oz 8.5's over 5/8's 9's

.562 IC with 1 5/8oz 9's

I would try the IC .562 or .570. In all my turkey guns the bigger shot shoots better with a slightly less than maximum constriction. .525/28, .562/20, .665/12 in all my benellis. Z

I have the 12 gauge. I tried multiple chokes. What works best for my SBE is the factory full choke. And it's deadly with Apex 9's

I'm running an IC .562 in mine and it's devastating with both apex 7.5x9s and straight 9s

for you guys saying factory full, are you supposed to be shooting tungsten in that? i thought those are lead only any input would be helpful

Notsoyoungturk

I am with the Indian Creek guys.  It has worked best in my Benelli.

It's a Benelli, nothing like what rolls off the assembly line in Instanbul.  Yes you do pay for better build quality and yes that includes better factory chokes. You'll be fine with Tungsten. Don't go throwing steel through the Full though.
