Saw more poults this past weekend than I have all year. I am hoping that I just didnt see the others. These were good size, chickenish size, so they have a shot. Z

Ran up to Vermont last week to visit our son, running around on some gravel back roads saw 2 Hens with at least 8 poults, couldn't get a good count or pictures, road was to narrow and turkeys were in someone's front yard, wife was hollering at me to stay focused on road. Ended up seeing at least 9 Hens and that group of poults while spending a few days in that lovely state. Disappointing to only see 1 deer and again no moose.

Starting to see some poults here in Michigan. Seems like it's always August before they start showing up.

I had a conversation with a friend today. He's in the Catskill region of Ny. 15 smaller than chickens with 2 mature hens.

I'm still only seeing the 4 with their mom at my place.

Saw a new group yesterday, 2 hens and at least a dozen poults. One hens poults were grouse size and the other just bigger than quail.

I've been seeing the 2 hens with 4 poults most every day. I think it's because of my wife and I keeping the noise and commotion to a minimum. Whereas our neighbors shoot guns on a regular basis. I'd like to think that our place is a sanctuary.

Weird sightings, poults from 1 pound to 6/7 pounds sighted in the last week. Not a lot, but very different sizes.    Z

That's good. All I've seen all spring and summer are those 4, but they are darn near the same size as their momma.
