Not looking good for my neck of the woods. Late May I saw one hen with three poults. That's been it. Here lately it's been mostly just hens with no poults. I think all the rain we have had has taken a toll on this years hatch in my woods.

The landowner where I hunt seen a few going up his tractor trail. I couldn't work a bird there this spring. Of course one of the big crop fields is now solar panel city.

my nephew and son jumped a covey out of a food plot that were small but could fly. We have been extremely wet here as well

Still no poult sightings for me, which is unusual where I live.

Finally saw a poult! Been watching these 5 Jakes hang around a retention pond. Contractors tore up more woods where they would sometime hang, contractors are done with deforestation and starting site work, so Jakes are showing up more. I did my usual drive by and on way back out spotted a lone hen with 1 poult, about size of partridge, they both headed back into weeds before I could get pictures. Sad to only see 1, but hopefully there are more. Latest I have seen a small poult in this area.

Saw a hen with 11 this morning not all same size wondered if there was another in woods

I have been seeing a few toms and tons of jakes and hens every day, but yesterday I saw my second set of poults. There were quite a few of them with 2 hens. Normally I would be seeing lots of hens with poults in tow by now.

Dogs bumped a hen with poults down by my pond on our morning run this morning. I got the dogs called back and we turned and went the other way.

Saw 14 hens yesterday, 3 jakes and 3 toms. Two of the hens were together and had 6 poults, the rest were dry. We were wet all spring as well and it doesn't look good here. We did see a few jakes early this spring so next year may be ok, but the following year might be poor. I am hoping it is just bad timing on my part. Z

2 hens with 6 poults total the past two days near my house. Doing ok around here still.

In our place in Western Kentucky we have been seeing poults since mid May, but I did feel like this year was an earlier hatch than prior years.

Tuesday Morning I saw two chicken sized poults with three hens. That brings my total to 5 poults seen so far on the properties I hunt.

Been seeing quit a few hens with poults lately.  One had seven, then it was five and yesterday, she was down to one.

Finally saw my first poults for this past breeding season. Saw 5 with Hen 2 days ago,and then across the River another Hen with her 5 poults. Of course, these were half grown so that's promising.
