Hook Hanger, I don't think I would take a 10 gauge much anywhere except maybe a duck or goose blind, maybe, just maybe turkey hunting if I knew it were going to be a short hunt without much traveling.
I did buy a BPS 3 1/2" 12 gauge way back in the 90's to deer hunt (running dogs) and turkey hunt with in the spring. That gun lasted one year, I got sick of carrying that boat anchor.
