Had a good mail weekend

I hope this photo works but I had a good Father's Day mail weekend. Got a Dawkins Walnut/Mahogony, a Steve Mann cedar/yellow poplar long box, and a Steve Mann cedar/holly scratchbox. I about drove my wife crazy playing them all weekend.

I love both of them and they'll definitely be in the bag come turkey season. I told Mr. Mann I'd be back in touch soon for an all cedar paddle call. I can't get over how good his long box sounds.

Anyone have any other long box makers they love? I've got Bill Barker, some Fetters, Mann and am on the list for one from Lamar Williams. I've left a message for Billy Bush but still waiting to hear from him if he's making calls these days.

I received a begging machine from Billy this year, I'd assume he will call you back sometime soon.

I picked up a Watkins paddle ironwood/butternut here in classifieds this year...one great sounding box. Definitely recommend a fiddle paddle or any box from him for that matter.

Steve's are awesome long boxes as well. I have a cedar/alder and cedar/butternut. Wouldn't mind getting a cedar/poplar and cedar/mahogany from him.
