I dont know the first thing about bears , but I remember seeing somewhere where people take large bee hives with the honey in them and burn them on a fire as a odor attractant ? is this true?--Shannon

I don't know about large bee hives but some folks do burn honey. Just set a pan of honey on a can of sterno and let it burn near your bait site.

  I bet the odor from that burning honey can be picked up from a good distance
